Wow, what an amazing day! Close To My Heart’s All Day Fun Crop was held on Sunday 21st August at The Junction. It was an amazingly crafty day, with FLORENCE paper packet in the spot light!
There was so many amazing artworks on display made by both consultants and customers. It truly showed how diverse these papers can be! My 4 girls completed their own card kits (designs created by me!). The intricate, filigree designs of the stamps gave the cards extra detail, without a lot of effort.
There were a lot of inky fingers, especially with blue and red! But that’s all part of the fun right?! The girls finished there cards with not too much trouble, until Stephanie decided to drop an ink pad onto her paper! Poor Steph…
We normally get the award for the messiest table, but Lorraine was such a tidy worker we had no chance of winning this time! I think I need to take a few tips from her!
Thanks to the lovely consultant Rachel Stribling, we also created these super cute Crazy Cat cards with the August Stamp Of The Month. We all had a play with the water colour palate and chose our favourite colour backgrounds. I think Lauren was a huge fan of her very green card. You would think her favourite colour was green or something!?
There were raffles held throughout the day, with Shauna, Steph and Lorraine all being drawn for prizes. Lucky girls! All in all, a successful and productive day, walking away with 9x Florence cards, 1x Crazy Cat card and many, many gift tags made out of our scraps. Very proud of these girls, well done!
The Florence paper pack is available until the end of August 2016. To see the full range click HERE.

This is my first ever video that I am sharing! A little nervous I have to admit, but her goes nothing!
I think it’s important to share the finer details of what goes into each and every card. My 15 minutes of colouring have been fast-forward into approx a minute of super speedy craftiness! These cute koala’s have been coloured especially for my Mother’s Day card creation. To purchase this card just click HERE.
This technique is called ‘No-Line Colouring’. Using a second generation inked image (stamping the image once on scrap paper, then stamping again on Copic paper for a lighter outline), I have coloured these cutie koala’s with Copic markers.
The stamp set I used is ‘Animal Greeting’ (D1679) available to purchase from my Close To My Heart store, click HERE to be directed to my CTMH shop!
What makes this stamp set even more special is that for every stamp purchase CTMH will donate $7* (USD) of the proceeds to Operation Smile. Check out the other critters that are in this set, they are so adorable, and you know how I like I good pun!
Ok enough of my blabbering, here’s me doing my thing…enjoy!
On Friday 18th March, I held a Close To My Heart Workshop, using the beautiful Charlotte paper range. The designs were based on the very talented CTMH consultant Denise Anderson, and I have to say the design was very easy to follow even for those who were new to the crafting world!
The group of 7 got busy stamping and cutting to make 15 beautiful cards (3 of each design) for all occasions.
In true CTMH style, there was a lot of stamping happening, with each card including 1 of each flower. Yep you do the math, stamp that flower 15 times!!! The super pretty water-coloured paper made it easy on the eye though.
Stephanie finished 1 of each card design on the night, and took the kit home with her to finish at her own leisure. Check out her creations below –
SPECIAL MENTION goes to Mel who brought the most YUMMIEST choc-chip muffins to share! Decorated with ballerina’s around the edge, they sure did make our mouths water!
By the end of the night most people’s fingers were all inked up, but it was totally worth it!
